Run in conjunction with Seachtain na Gaeilge, the féile is a celebration of the Irish language, local heritage and the beauty of the local landscape. St Patrick’s Day / Lá le Pádraig For those who are early risers, the Dingle Fife and Drum Band will parade around the town at 6.30am before 7am Mass at St. Mary’s Church, Green Street. Dingle Town’s St Patrick’s Day Parade will start at 12:45 pm from (the old) St Elisabeth’s Hospital and will follow the traditional route via Green Street, Main Street, The Mall, Bridge Street and Strand Street, to the Quay returning to the Hospital via Green Street and Goat Street. The Fife and Drum Band will lead the Parade which will be reviewed at Holyground. Individuals, groups, clubs, schools, business outlets and musical groups will take part.

Rhythm Play & Workshop  1.30-4.30 Come and learn more about loads of drums, percussion and sound instruments – how to play them and how to use them in a spontaneous way in a relaxed atmosphere. Dingle Women’s Mini Marathon Mion Mharatón na mBan, Daingean Uí Chúis The inaugural Dingle Women’s Mini Marathon will be held on Saturday, May 18th 2013. The 10km run, which is endorsed by a number of leading athletes, will become a permanent fixture on the schedule as the allure of running one of the most scenic routes in Ireland encourages participation. Event organisers explained that the mini marathon is intended to cater for women of all levels of fitness with walkers, joggers and runners being encouraged to take part. The event is being run on a not for profit basis and the two main beneficiaries are National Breast Cancer Research and Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne in Dingle for the development of a playing pitch/running track. Féile Ceoil an Leith Triúigh Bíonn Féile Ceoil an Leith Triúigh ar siúl ón 4ú -7ú Iúil 2013. Beidh a lán ceoltóirí aitheanta ag freastal ar an bhféile chomh maith le amhránaithe, scéaltóirí agus rinceoirí. Beidh deis ag tach duine bheith páirteach i gceardlann ceoil agus cinnte beidh sessiún breátha sa Tínteán Ceoil agus sna tithe tabhairne. Féile Ceoil an Leith Triúigh is being held in Cloghane Brandon over the weekend of July 4th to the 7th. There will be some well known musicians , singers and storytellers at this traditional and folk music festival. There will also be workshops, sessions in the Tinteán Ceoil and sessions in the local pubs. More Details to Follow

Cuisle Chorca Dhuibhne Global Rhythm Festival Cuisle Chorca Dhuibhne-Dingle’s Global Rhythm Festival’s motivation is to highlight the many different styles of percussion and dance that can be heard and seen on the Dingle Peninsula from the Bodhrán, Fife and Drum to West African drumming and dancing, capoeira samba and more. Ronan Ó Snodaigh from Kila will perform and teach his very unique style of bodhrán playing.
