Annascaul is at the heart of the Dingle Peninsula and is a walkers paradise. Within a 20 minute drive of the village there are ten 750 meter with spectacular steep gorges, awesome cliff faces and wonderful scenery
Inch beach is a mere 5 minute drive, the mystical beauty of Com Dubh nestles in our mountains and the history and adventuring of Tom Crean, William Hussey and Mary O Donnell and many others seeps out of every crag, headland and ruin in our parish.
Annascaul village offers you wonderful craic and friendship in ours pubs, food-houses, B&B’s and hostels. Enjoy our walks, marked loops and hospitality during our walking weekend or at any other time during the year.

Inch Beach

Inch Beach by night

Inch by night Inch Beach is one of the most picturesque beaches on the Dingle Peninsula in Co.Kerry and is a really beautifull place to learn to surf. It is a blue flag beach that runs literally for miles. Three miles of sandy beach, for bathing, surfing, sea angling. Inch Strand was chosen by David Lean as the beach location for “Ryan’s Daughter”. The film “Playboy of the Western World” was shot entirely at Inch.

Inch is roughly 30 minutes from both Dingle and Killarney and 45 mins from Tralee, But more importantly only a 5 minute drive from Annascaul.

Slea Head Drive

The most westerly point in Europe (maybe)

We always tell people the best time to drive to Slea head is in the evening. This is so for a few reasons. The traffic is quieter (very little coaches and heavy vehicles. Also the long Irish summer evenings (Its bright up until about 10 most evenings these days). Watching the sun set on Dunquin pier is just magic.
